The SOS PRODEHESA MONTADO project continues to strengthen knowledge transfer and specialised training with the opening of applications for five micro-credentials offered by the University of Évora.
These training opportunities have been designed to strengthen knowledge and skills in areas closely linked to the management, conservation and sustainability of dehesa and montado systems, offering relevant content for professionals, technicians, land managers and anyone interested in expanding their knowledge of these agroforestry systems.
Applications are currently open for:
🗺️ Geographic Information Systems for Montado Management
🍄 Mushrooms: guardians of forests
🌳 Silviculture in the agroforestry context
🌿 Biodiversity and ecosystem services in the Montado
🌱 Soil health in the Montado: assessment, indicators and practices
The micro-credentials provide access to specific, flexible training focused on concrete needs, helping participants update their knowledge and acquire new skills related to some of the main challenges and opportunities facing dehesa and montado systems.
In addition, each micro-credential can be taken independently, allowing participants to choose the course or courses that best match their interests, professional profile or training needs.
This initiative forms part of the work carried out by SOS PRODEHESA MONTADO to promote knowledge transfer and bring specialised training and practical tools closer to the people involved in the management and future of these territories.
Over the coming days, we will introduce each of the five micro-credentials individually so that you can learn more about their content and main features.
