Cáceres, 7 October 2025 — The SOS Prodehesa-Montado project has actively participated in the European Innovation Day in the Agricultural, Livestock and Forestry Industry, held at the Cáceres Chamber of Commerce. The meeting, which brought together representatives from various European projects, aimed to promote innovation, sustainability and digitalisation in the agricultural, livestock and forestry sectors.
During the conference, several European initiatives funded by various European programmes were presented, which work to promote more sustainable, resilient and data-driven agriculture.
Among the participating projects, the following stood out:
- Framework, presented by the Artemisan Foundation, focused on harnessing and capitalising on biodiversity.
- OpenPAS, from Generandi, which evaluates pasture conservation through open science, sensors and machine learning.
- DIVINE, presented by ANALISIS-DSC, which demonstrates the value of agricultural data exchange in boosting the data economy in agriculture.
- EDAAN, from the University of Malaga, which is working towards the creation of the Federated Data Space for the Agri-Food Sector in Andalusia.
- OrganicClimateNet, led by Innovarum, which is driving the organic farming revolution in Europe to achieve climate resilience.
- Finally, the SOS Prdehesa-Montado project, coordinated by Innogestiona Ambiental, presented its models of comprehensive sustainability and resilience of the Dehesa-Montado in the face of climate risks, providing a key vision for the adaptation of the Iberian agroforestry system to current environmental challenges.
The day concluded by highlighting the importance of collaboration between European entities, universities, technology centres and companies, with the aim of accelerating the transition towards digital, sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture.
