Today, 8 October 2025, a new coordination meeting of the SOS PRODEHESA-MONTADO project took place, in which the partners reviewed the status of ongoing activities and shared the progress made in the different lines of work.
During the meeting, the status of planned actions was updated, highlighting progress in conservation, sustainable management and knowledge transfer on the dehesas and montados of south-western Iberia. The next milestones were also identified and the steps to be taken in the coming months were agreed upon.
The participants agreed to hold the next face-to-face meeting on 24 November in Freixo do Meio (Portugal). This meeting will be held in conjunction with a transfer workshop, which will serve as a space for the exchange of experiences and good practices between the project partners and other actors involved in the management of these ecosystems.
With this new working session, the consortium reaffirms its commitment to the objectives of the SOS PRODEHESA-MONTADO project: to preserve, revitalise and promote the sustainability of the dehesa and montado as unique landscapes of south-western Iberia.
