Somos Prodehesa Montado
MODELS OF INTEGRAL SUSTAINABILITY AND RESILIENCE OF THE DEHESA-MONTADO IN THE FACE OF CLIMATE HAZARDS.
The main objective of the project is to implement and disseminate actions that contribute to the restoration, adaptation to climate change and enhancement of the dehesa-montado, as a way for its preservation and its economic and environmental resilience, and for the creation of territorial resilience.

Why SOS Prodehesa Montado?
The dehesa-montado, which occupies 30% of the surface area of Extremadura and the Alentejo, is a crucial habitat and production system. This environment not only generates employment in rural areas and contributes to population fixation, but also provides various ecosystem services and is home to a rich biodiversity.
