SOS PRODEHESA MONTADO moves into the final stage of the project

The SOS PRODEHESA MONTADO project has held its 10th coordination meeting, a key milestone to review the work carried out so far, assess the progress of ongoing activities and coordinate the tasks required to successfully complete the final stage of the project.

During the meeting, the partner organisations shared the main progress achieved across the different lines of work and reviewed the implementation status of the planned activities. The meeting also provided an opportunity to identify outstanding tasks, coordinate the next steps and establish priorities to ensure the proper completion of the activities and expected results.

After months of joint work and collaboration, SOS PRODEHESA MONTADO is now entering its final stage, a particularly important phase for consolidating and showcasing the knowledge generated, the tools developed and the proposals produced throughout the project.

Knowledge and tools for the future of dehesa and montado systems

SOS PRODEHESA MONTADO works to contribute to a more sustainable and resilient management of dehesa and montado systems, two agroforestry systems of significant environmental, economic, social and cultural value in the cross-border territory.

Throughout the project, different areas have been addressed, including improved management practices, climate change adaptation, natural resource conservation and strengthening the long-term viability of these territories. The work carried out aims to provide useful tools and knowledge for land managers and professionals, as well as for public authorities, organisations and other stakeholders linked to dehesa and montado systems.

During this final phase, the partners will focus their efforts on completing the planned activities, finalising the remaining results and strengthening their transfer and dissemination, with the aim of ensuring that the knowledge generated can continue to be used beyond the lifetime of the project.

A final stage based on cooperation

The 10th coordination meeting once again highlights the importance of joint work and cooperation among the participating organisations.

Coordination between the partners has been a key element in ensuring coherent progress across the different activities and in responding to the shared challenges faced by dehesa and montado systems.

SOS PRODEHESA MONTADO will continue working in a coordinated manner to bring this stage to a successful close, highlight the work carried out and help ensure that the results achieved have continuity and practical application across the territory.
